Apply now for Transforming Lives Grants

Tuesday 1 August 2023

Applications have opened for a new grant fund, aimed at helping more people enjoy the benefits of running and athletics.

The Transforming Lives Grant programme is being run by Athletics Trust Scotland, the charity to promote our sport and help a wider diversity of people get involved.

The programme is for organisations that support those in the sport who are in need, for reasons of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. It has been created to help groups seeking a direct fund to support costs such as a hardship fund, athletics equipment, start up kit for children & coaching fees.

ATS will provide grants of £250-£1,000 to grassroots organisations, clubs, groups and charities whose work is supporting those in athletics and running. In line with the Transforming Lives Project the Trustees will favour those supporting people in low income, who have a disability or those from ethnically and culturally diverse communities.

You can apply if you are either a:

  • Charity registered in Scotland; or a
  • Constituted organisation, group or club.

This means that jogscotland groups which are constituted can apply – you can find out more about this on our ‘Structuring your group’ page.

For more information on the grants, see the Athletics Trust Scotland website.

Applications are open until 5pm on Monday 11 September.
