Start jogging in 2018 with jogscotland!

Wednesday 3 January 2018

jogscotland groups across the country are welcoming new members as the new year gets underway, with resolutions a-plenty! The opening months of the year are a particularly busy time for jogscotland as new members flood in, keen to make a positive start to the year.

With hundreds of groups all over the country welcoming everyone including complete beginners, it’s a great time to blow away the cobwebs and get active. Our beginners’ sessions are exactly that – they start with 30 seconds of gentle jogging, followed by 30 seconds of walking, for 10 minutes. With lots of other beginners to jog alongside, there’s nothing to be scared of, and with jogscotland, nobody gets left behind, and you’ll hold nobody back.

Our trained Jog Leaders will help the group celebrate everyone’s achievements, whatever their level. Every week you’ll jog a little more and walk a little less, and before you know it, you’ll be away and running!

We have runners of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes. We have members who’ve lost 10 stone as part of their jogging journey; people who took up running in retirement; people who have proudly crossed the line last in races, and those who have gone on to run for Scotland. Whoever you are, we’ll help you enjoy getting active.

Most importantly – don’t be afraid! It’s common to have a few nerves before your first time at a jogscotland group, but everyone who comes along is bowled over by the warm welcome, and before they know it, it’s a highlight of the week.
