Wee Pink Dot campaign gains support across athletics community
Tuesday 9 June 2026
scottishathletics and jogscotland are proudly supporting SAMH’s new Wee Pink Dot Campaign.
This is a simple but powerful initiative designed to show visible support for people experiencing mental health challenges and to help reduce stigma and judgement around mental health.
The campaign encourages people to wear or display a pink dot as a sign that they are committed to creating supportive, understanding environments where conversations about mental health are welcomed.
Pictured are representatives from scottishathletics and jogscotland, including our chief executive, Colin Hutchison; Head of Development, Hazel Crawford and jogscotland Programme Manager, Jo Skead, all showing their support for the campaign.
‘I’m proud to support SAMH’s new Wee Pink Dot Campaign,’ said Jo Skead.
‘It’s a simple, visible and effective concept that everyone can get behind. I encourage all of our groups who have signed up to the SAMH Mental Health Charter for Physical Activity and Sport to support this message. For groups and leaders who are not yet pledged to the Charter, you can still join in with this messaging.
‘Our jog groups are safe, supportive community spaces where people can engage, connect and achieve their ambitions, whether that’s a fast 5k, a slow 10k or simply taking time to look after their wellbeing.
‘The Wee Pink Dot is a great way to show that everyone is welcome and supported.’
