Activity tracker app

We have been working with parkrun to develop an app that will help us track what’s happening on the ground, among our groups, day in, day out. We know that we have hundreds of groups, with dedicated leaders helping people get active, right across Scotland, every day – but we need to be able to prove it.

You may have read about the Scottish Government’s decision to remove funding from jogscotland, which only adds to the importance of being able to prove to potential future funders everything that jogscotland achieves.

We hope that our Jog Leaders will help us gather this data by using the new app.

There are two key steps required – you as a leader need to have the app on your phone, and your joggers need a parkrun barcode that you can scan with the app to register their participation in a jogging session. All the joggers and sessions you scan will then be drawn into the database so that we can compile large-scale data on nationwide jogscotland activity.

We will email all Jog Leaders will details of how to do this. You can also use the menu on the left of this page to access our user guides (both written and video guides are available), and to read a full list of FAQs.

You can contact eventsupport@parkrun.com by phone or email and they’ll be happy to help with any questions you have about the operation of the app.

If you have any wider questions about the app outside its technical operation, you can contact jogscotland membership development officer Jo Stevens on jo.stevens@scottishathletics.org.uk.
